Once Upon a Heat Wave…
The story of Williams A/C & Heating started in Fresno California with a boy named Jeff. His dad was Glen Williams, a hands-on tech who built supermarkets and left every job spotless. Jeff Williams grew up on job sites, tool kit in hand he followed Glen around like he was his shadow. Jeff then went on to refrigeration school, graduating top of his class.
Jeff went to work with Glen, but did eventually branch off to work for other companies. At one of those other companies, an apartment complex, he met Dawn as she was headed down to the pool and immediately fell in love. They got married in 1985 and Jeff continued to work as a service technician for other A/C and refrigeration companies.
After a brutal day at work, Jeff's boss told him to scrap a unit that Jeff knew he could fix for $5. Instead of condemning it, Jeff called Dawn, asked to quit, and launched his own business. And Williams A/C & Heating was born. Dawn sketched the logo on a napkin at dinner table, in fact, its the same one we use today.
How We Started
Fresno, California is a long way from West Texas. How did we get here? Simple: family. Jeff had relatives in Sudan, so he and Dawn took the leap with their 3-year-old son Daniel. In Sudan, Jeff passed down the trade; Daniel hit job sites at 5, toolkit ready. By 2000, they planted roots in Lubbock, bringing that family legacy full circle.
Williams A/C & Heating hit the ground running, tackling homes statewide and expanding nonstop. At just 10, Daniel was already teaming up with Jeff on weekends, mastering the craft. Weekend work paid off, Daniel earned his first car from his own sweat and skill.
Like his father before him, Daniel left Williams A/C & Heating to blaze his own trail, but like Jeff, Daniel never left the industry. He mastered every angle, built unbreakable connections, and in 2025, returned to Williams with a clear truth: just like Jeff realized in 1985, taking care of people and doing the job right are everything. Now, Daniel leads as CEO, Dawn drives operations, and Jeff commands service. Together, the trio powers Williams A/C & Heating into the future.
How We We Got Here
With 40 years under our belt, we've learned plenty, but the biggest lesson is this: simple truths drive everything we do.
